How are the photo book inserts delivered?
Photo book inserts are digital files delivered in high quality, 300dpi JPEG files. Info Pages require a free registration to Lucidpress in order to edit and download them. All other maps (Travel, Hiking and City) will be emailed.
How quick will I get them?
Your design will be ready within 48 hours unless otherwise stated on the website (holiday).
Is there an editor?
No, all of the maps are designed individually and emailed in JPEG format. You can request changes but you won’t be able to edit the maps yourself.
What sizes are available?
We can create photo book inserts for any size photo book up to 16×12″ (40x30cm). You have to specify the exact dimensions and orientation of your photo book during purchase. The final design will fit a full bleed page in your photo book but you can insert it into a smaller photo box too.
What are travel map and how can they be personalised?
As the name says, these custom maps display the places you visited during your journey. Your locations will be connected by a custom travel path. The maps also include flags, titles, travel dates and miles travelled. Choose from various styles, options and colours!
What are hiking maps and how can they be personalised?
Hiking maps are unique designs that display the area where you hiked and the path you completed. You can personalise them with photos, titles, travel dates, flags and other infos like elevation/distance/time hiked. The path that connects your starting and end points is illustrative. If you have a map or graph from your phone of the actual path you completed, you can send it to us and we will try to match it as close as possible. What are info pages and how can they be personalised?
Info pages are a more complex option than travel maps. They include not only a travel map but also a timeline, photos, highlights and stats. The map includes all the above mentioned. The timeline is great for longer holidays. It’s basically an itinerary where you can display your events in a chronological order. Enter a title (day 1/date/location) and a short summary for that event. Highlights display 4 of your best moments from your holiday. Stats show information about your trip such as dates, miles traveled, countries visited, days away. You can request other entries here such as wildlife, hotel etc… Info pages consist of two pages. If you enter up to 5 timeline elements the map will use a full page. If you enter 6-10 timeline elements, the map will be smaller on the second page.
What are city maps and how can they be personalised?
City maps are similar to travel maps but they display the places you visited in one city. These locations can be connected by a path. You can add titles, dates and flags.

Can I buy just a digital file without the print?
Yes, just select “Digital” from the size selection where applicable.
Are the prints framed?
You can choose between “Print Only” and “Framed” versions. You can select the size and colour of the frame in the Size dropdown section.
What material, colour and size are the frames?
Frames are available in A4 (30x21cm) and A3 (40x30cm). They can be hung portrait or landscape depending on the print.
The frames are available in 2 colours: white, black.

The standard sizes for prints are: A5, A4 & A3. Should you require a special size, contact us first.
Do you offer custom sizes for prints?
Yes. We can print designs in any size up to A3. Get in touch for a quote and confirmation.
Do you offer prints bigger than A3?
Prints bigger than A3 are not part of the standard range but we can use third party printers to fulfil those orders. Get in touch for a quote and confirmation.
What are city/island maps? How can they be personalised?
City maps can be created for any island, city, town or village. They are a simple map of your chosen location without any labels. They are available in various styles such as watercolour, mono colour, gold or standard.
You personalise them by choosing a location, a colour & style and entering a date or personal message. If you would like to display any other information on the map such as a heart or title/subtitles, get in touch, everything is possible! 🙂
What are country/island maps? How can they be personalised?
Country maps display a single country in isolation without any labels, roads or topography. They are available in many styles: abstract, mono colour, watercolour etc.. You can personalise them with your travel dates, 3-6 photos and a custom travel path showing your visited locations in the given country. You can further personalise them by adding titles, travel dates, travelled miles and photo collages. What are engagement/anniversary prints? How can they be personalised?
These personalised prints can be made for any special occasion: anniversary, wedding, engagement, fell in love, met etc…
You can use a country or city map as a base for your print. A little heart will show the place where it all happened. Choose from various styles and colours. Will we get a preview and what about requesting changes?
All products include one review. You will receive a preview of your design in 24 hours. Make sure to request all necessary changes at this stage.
Refunds & Returns
These are all custom made products that can not be resold to anybody else. For that reason, they can not be refunded. However, your satisfaction is our main priority, therefore we are happy to make changes to your designs until you are happy with it.
If you ordered a physical print product and it arrives damaged, get in touch and we will send a free replacement.
Privacy and photo safety
The information you enter into any of the personalisation fields, including your personal details and photographs, will never be shared with third party companies. We will not use your details for promotional purposes unless you signed up for our newsletter. Your designs will be accessible in the Lucidpress editor for 3 months after which they will be permanently deleted. If you wish them to be deleted sooner, you can request that.
